You place an order through the webshop. You may also contact us by phone, text message or email if you wish to place an order directly.
For orders placed outside the webshop, please state which item you wish to purchase, your telephone number and an email address to which the order confirmation can be sent.
After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. For bank transfers, payment must be received within 5 business days after the order confirmation unless otherwise agreed.
We reserve the right to refuse an order where there is a legitimate reason, including obvious pricing errors, an item being unavailable or an original work having already been sold.
Minor differences in measurements and colour reproduction between the product shown on a screen and the physical product may occur.
Product prices on artbylonfeldt.com are shown in USD unless otherwise stated. Prices include the shipping costs stated in the webshop and Danish taxes and VAT where applicable.
Import duties, customs charges, local taxes or other charges imposed in the country of destination are not included unless expressly stated. Such charges, where applicable, are the customer's responsibility.
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including supported credit and debit cards.
For card payments, the amount is normally charged when the goods are dispatched. Payment is made through a secure and encrypted connection.
We may reduce the authorised amount if, for example, part of an order is cancelled or an item cannot be supplied. We will not increase the amount authorised by you.
We deliver worldwide, subject to any delivery restrictions stated in the webshop.
We use different postal services, parcel carriers and freight companies depending on the destination, size and nature of the product. We choose the shipping method that is appropriate for the order.
Delivery normally takes 1-4 weeks after the order has been received, unless another delivery time is stated or individually agreed.
For goods produced after the order is placed, production time is included in the stated delivery time.
As a consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when purchasing from the webshop.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, receive the goods. If several goods ordered together are delivered separately, the period begins when the last item is received. If one product is delivered in several lots or pieces, the period begins when the last lot or piece is received.
You must notify us clearly that you wish to withdraw from the purchase before the withdrawal period expires.
You may notify us by email at ml@artbylonfeldt.dk.
You may also use our digital withdrawal function on the page Withdraw from order. The standard withdrawal form is available on the same page, so there is only one central withdrawal form.
You may also notify us that you wish to withdraw before the goods have been delivered.
Simply refusing delivery or failing to collect a shipment does not by itself constitute a withdrawal. You must also clearly notify us that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you. This may, for example, include an artwork made under a separate agreement with individual dimensions, motif, text, colours or other personal specifications.
The fact that a standard poster or canvas print is produced only after the order has been placed does not by itself remove the right of withdrawal where the customer chooses from the standard motifs, sizes and other standard options offered in the webshop.
You must send the goods back no later than 14 days after notifying us that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Posters and smaller goods that can be returned by ordinary parcel service typically cost approximately DKK 70-200 to return from a Danish delivery address, depending on size, packaging and the carrier selected.
Original paintings, larger canvas prints and other goods that, because of their size or nature, cannot normally be returned by ordinary post or parcel service must be returned using a suitable freight carrier. For returns from a Danish delivery address, the direct return cost is expected to be no more than approximately DKK 1,500.
You are responsible for packing the goods securely and protecting them adequately during return transport. You bear the risk of the goods during the return shipment until we have received them.
We recommend using a shipping method that provides proof of dispatch and delivery and keeping the shipping receipt.
You are not required to use the original packaging, but we recommend reusing it if it remains suitable for protecting the goods during return transport.
For large original paintings and canvas prints, we recommend contacting us before return shipment so that an appropriate transport method can be arranged.

We do not accept cash-on-delivery or postage-due shipments.
Please include or state the order number so that we can identify the return quickly.
Failing to collect a shipment or refusing delivery does not by itself constitute notice of withdrawal. If you wish to withdraw, you must also notify us clearly.
If the carrier returns an uncollected or refused shipment to us and you have exercised your right of withdrawal, the direct and documented return costs that we have paid may be deducted from the refund where, under these terms, you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
If goods are returned to us without a notice of withdrawal, the purchase is not automatically considered withdrawn. If you wish the goods to be sent again, you may be charged the actual cost of reshipping.
You are liable only for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
You may inspect the goods in the same way as would normally be possible in a physical shop, but you must not put them into actual use beyond what is necessary for that inspection.
For posters, canvas prints and original paintings, a reduction in value may, for example, result from folds, pressure marks, scratches, stains, soiling, odours, damage to the motif, canvas or stretcher frame, marks from hanging or other damage occurring after delivery or during return transport.
If the goods are returned with a reduction in value for which you are liable, the actual reduction in value may be deducted from the refund. If, after a specific assessment, the goods have lost their entire commercial value as a result of damage or handling for which you are liable, the reduction in value may amount to the full value of the goods.
If you withdraw from your purchase, we will refund the amount you paid for the products covered by the withdrawal. Any reduction in value for which you are liable may be deducted from the refund.
If you paid delivery costs, we will also refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered at the time of purchase. Any additional cost resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method will not be refunded.
The refund will be made no later than 14 days from the date on which we receive your notice of withdrawal.
We will normally use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you provide evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever occurs first.
Any direct return costs that we have demonstrably paid on your behalf may be deducted from the refund where, under these terms, you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
As a consumer, you have the statutory rights that apply when goods are defective. The harmonised EU notice below provides an overview of the legal guarantee for goods sold to consumers in the European Union.

The statutory rules on defects apply to purchases of goods.
When you shop at artbylonfeldt.com, you generally have a legal guarantee period of 24 months for new goods. If a product is defective, you may be entitled to repair or replacement. Under the applicable legal conditions, you may also be entitled to a price reduction or a refund.
The statutory rights do not apply to damage caused by improper use, external damage or other damage caused by the customer.
Please contact us within a reasonable time after discovering a defect. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Please contact us by email at ml@artbylonfeldt.dk and include a description of the problem and, where relevant, photographs showing the defect.
If the complaint is justified, we will cover the necessary and reasonable return shipping costs.
Please contact us before returning a large original painting or canvas print so that an appropriate transport method can be agreed.
Please return the product in suitable and secure packaging and keep the shipping receipt.

Artworks, motifs, images, photographs, graphics, texts and designs displayed or sold through the webshop are protected by copyright to the extent that they qualify for copyright protection.
When you purchase an original painting, canvas print, poster or other physical art product, you acquire ownership of that physical copy. Copyright in the artwork or motif is not transferred by the purchase unless expressly agreed in writing.
Copyright in works created by Michael Lønfeldt remains with Michael Lønfeldt. This also applies when an original painting is sold.
Michael Lønfeldt therefore retains, among other rights, the right to photograph and reproduce the work, display images of it on websites and social media, use images in marketing, catalogues and exhibitions, and produce and sell reproductions of the motif as canvas prints, posters or other art prints.
The purchase does not give the buyer the right, without written permission, to manufacture, distribute or sell copies or reproductions of the work, use the motif commercially or otherwise exploit the copyright beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
These terms and purchases made through artbylonfeldt.com are governed by Danish law, except where mandatory consumer protection rules applicable to the consumer provide otherwise.
