During the production, a lot of transparent acrylic paint is added, which is spread thinly over the canvas in many layers on top of each other. The painting therefore has a nice depth effect with different color shades, lines and shapes that can be sensed through the underlying layers. And then it gives really intensive colors.
The work process has lasted a long time. It contains of 6-7 successive steps, where the layers are applied individually, and dry fully through before the next layer is painted on. To distribute the paint around the canvas, I used a number of brushes and spatulas, depending on the effects I wanted to create.
Only the best materials have been used in connection with the work. And they are a prerequisite for achieving the fantastic color reproduction. A strong canvas in a linen/cotton mix from Italy. Stretcher bars of European pine with FSC certificate. And acrylic paint of the highest quality from recognized manufacturers who use real color pigment in their products.
